Advanced Typing Test
Expert-level typing challenge
Practice Beyond Familiar Word Lists
Advanced mode introduces denser vocabulary, punctuation, and less predictable text patterns so experienced typists can stress-test their real reading and typing flow.
Harder Text Builds Transferable Skill
When unfamiliar words stop slowing you down, your performance on essays, business writing, and technical material becomes much more stable.
What Makes Advanced Typing Practice Different
Advanced typing material should expose you to longer words, punctuation, capitalization changes, and less predictable letter patterns. That makes it harder than ordinary word drills, but it also makes the practice more realistic for essays, office writing, technical work, and editorial tasks.
If standard tests feel easy but your speed collapses on dense paragraphs or unfamiliar vocabulary, advanced mode is usually the missing link.
When To Use Advanced Mode
- Add it a few times per week after you are comfortable on the 1-minute test.
- Use it to find weak spots, then go back to simpler tests to confirm that your baseline score is improving.
- Expect a lower WPM than normal. The value of this mode is skill transfer, not a vanity number.
